Unfortunately this has become a problem to some webmasters (website owners). Getting their Google Adsense account approved has become an uphill task which is not ought to be. When I first started in online business or should I rather say the quest for Google Adsense back in 2012, it was really not easy. This happens when you don’t get the right information.
It got to a time I was informed that I could get a Google account approved once I signed up for flixya.com and write a couple of articles. It worked for some time for those that arrived early but for us, it was a bad news because Google withdrew their approval upon discovering that the site was violating their rules towards getting Google Adsense account approval.
As a matter of fact, it is not a big deal getting a Google Adsense approved but it will be if you don’t play by the rule and I will state the rules nicely in this post.
What is Google Adsense
Google AdSense is a program managed by Google which serves adverts to its publishers to post on their websites in order to make money in return whenever anyone clicks on the advert. So it is an easy way to make money or rather monetizes a website even though there are several ways to monetize and make money with a blog or website.
I will explain step by step things you must do in order to get Google Adsense approval without stress.
Build a Blog
Of recent, I wrote on how to make a blog and this article will help you if you have not owned a blog of your own. A blog is one of the criteria to getting a Google account approved because when applying you must include your URL to your website for Google’s perusal.
Submit your site to Google
Always ensure that your website is submitted to Google for search engine presence. This will help the search engine or Google know that your blog exists and accordingly index and rank the content of the blog. This will speed up things for you because Google has already known the existence of your blog. If you are wondering how to submit your blog to Google you can read this article on how to submit a site to Google by opening a Google webmaster console account if you don’t already have one. You can also go ahead and submit your website to Bing and Yahoo because that would be an added advantage to the growth of your blog as Bing and Yahoo constitute about 30 percent or more of the search engine. You can learn how to submit to Bing and yahoo here.
Doing this plays a big part to the growth of your blog not only getting a Google Adsense account approved.
Niche is in every book of blogging or online business that has got to do with developing a website. Choosing the right niche is very important because the will be the basis or foundation of your blog. Back in 2012, I had an e-commerce website which I ignorantly used to apply for Google Adsense but was turned down because they don’t give to such websites that don’t update the content of their website at all times. What I am saying, in essence, is that your website or blog must be such that will bring out the creative you. Google loves something that is unique and different from others. They place a lot of value on the quality of the content on your blog.
Create Original helpful content
I see a lot of plagiarism going on, on various blogs out there and how do you expect to get Google Adsense account approved? Google in the first place frowns at copy and paste content, and this can really hurt your blog aside not getting Google Adsense approved.
So, opt for a niche you can really do well in creating your own original content without having to copy someone else’s work. Once you populate your blog or website with good and quality content, then chances of getting Google Adsense approval is improved. Do not think you can’t be creative until you try yourself and you will be amazed how much you can accomplish. Therefore, do not underestimate yourself and start writing your content now. You can go ahead and read the article I wrote on steps to writing a blog, that will help you a lot if you are having a problem writing your own content.
Populate Your Blog
Most times than not we tend to run off to apply for Google Adsense once we set up a blog and have written one or two articles. This is even so because we use to think that blog is all about making money. Making money, yes, but it is not all about that and once you miss out on that ideology you will soon be out of ‘’business’’ than you anticipated. You should make sure that you populated your blog with good and quality content before applying of Google Adsense. Let’s say, work on your blog for like 2 months or make sure you have up to 30 good articles before applying so that when Google Adsense team will have to look up your website they will be convinced that your website is worth the approval. But if they find your website almost empty and short of content they will deny you of the approval.
Avoid any Form of Ads
Avoid any form of ads on your website before applying just to be on the safe side. Google Adsense has their rules as to how many ads you must have on your blog. Sharing their ads with another different program may conflict with their rules and thereby making you lose having Google Adsense approved. So, concentrate on developing your blog with great content and you will have all the money later, after all, the last time I checked, content is still the king in the blogging business. If you don’t have good and consistent content you will be making no money even with the Google Adsense on your blog.
Build your Blog on Blogger or WordPress Platform
A chance of getting approval is high if you build your blog on Blogger or WordPress. Google recognizes these two platforms because Blogger is owned by Google and it is tailored for that purpose and WordPress is the most widely used platform by professional bloggers around the world because of its CMS (Content Management System).
Make Sure Create a Contact Page
One of the rules is that you must have a contact page on your website so that any of your audience who wishes to contact you will be able to do so. Therefore, you can always create a contact page by simply using any of the available plugins on the internet. There are so many of them but you may use Contact form 7 if you are not sure which one to use.
Create Private Policy page
Blog must be User-friendly
This is another aspect you must consider during the development of your blog because it’s very important. Your blog must be designed in a way that it will not overwhelm your audience but let it be simple so that your visitors can always find their way around easily. Make sure you create tabs that are assigned to categories of topics and create a search box at the top as well.
In a nutshell, let your website be organized with only the necessary feature on it.
These tips will surely help you to secure a Google Adsense account, but if by any chance you do not get approved, don’t give up but apply again after you have tweaked your website and updated with more new quality content. Do not give up because it can be discouraging when your application is not approved; it will appear as if your effort is not appreciated hence you will want to throw in the towel.
