Is Payoneer a Scam? All has been revealed!

I did not mention that anyone that registers for Payoneer and receive a minimum of $100 payment through it will be given $25 as a bonus!

I am compelled to write this review on ‘’is Payoneer a Scam?’’ because a friend of mine whom we belong to the same community on the internet thought that Payoneer is a scam. And I can understand why, though, he mentioned about the reviews he read. Now, talking about reviews you see on the internet, most a times these reviews are not usually very correct, while some are grossly incorrect. Why? Because some based their judgment on only one source of information without actually digging deeper to find out the real status of whatever it is they are reviewing.

Is Payoneer a Scam? All has been revealed!

Maybe someone might have had a negative experience with a certain product or a program but that doesn’t mean the program or the product is bad. What determines a program or product to be bad is where there are numerous negative factors at play and many people giving it thumbs down, that is when you know that a program is bad or a scam.  However, I am about to add my own review to the list of Payoneer reviews we already have on the internet. I promise to be just and fair with my review to the best of my ability, so help me God.

What is Payoneer?

For those that don’t really know what Payoneer is all about, I will explain in a simple term. Payoneer is a payment company that was established in 2005, which help people all around the world to receive payments for whatever services they might have given to companies, especially in the US. There are many folks doing business from around the world but to transfer fund online has always been a problem because of incompatibility in the banking system of the US and other countries.

So, Payoneer is a solution for payments to independent and affiliate workers; their master card can be used to withdraw money anywhere in the world and payments are made promptly. Their payment options are as follows;

  • Deposit directly to local bank (this is the option that I use)
  • Wire Transfers
  • Global and Local e-wallets
  • Local currency paper checks
  • And the use of Prepaid Debit Cards

Good for Whom?

Basically, Payoneer is good for people that do business online such as affiliates like me, freelancers, vendors, and publishers. Payoneer is an alternative to Paypal, where a company you are dealing with does not have or support PayPal. For instance, Amazon does not support Paypal, except payments by check, deposit to the bank (usually only US banks) and Gift cards. I can’t receive payment directly from Amazon because I am not a US residence, and that is where Payoneer comes in handy.

Who is Eligible to use it?

Anyone that is 18 years and above is eligible and if you happen to be an online business person who earns money online from different online companies, then this is your gig. Nevertheless, anyone that has business with transferring money from one country to the other will definitely benefit and enjoy the services of Payoneer.

Reasons why you should use Payoneer

Flexible– It is flexible because they have good payment options to choose from that will suit you. I also understand that others can load money into your debit card and transfers are not delayed at all.

Fast– It is a very fast way of securing and getting your money over to your local bank account. They offer this service in a jiffy without delay.

Currency– You don’t have to go through the hurdle of converting the money into your local currency, as you may know, this is done once the money is deposited into your account automatically at the current exchange rate.

There are a whole lot of benefit from Payoneer. As a matter of fact, I haven’t seen any downside to it except that you may not get your debit card delivered to you the free way. Like in my case, I was supposed to get my debit card delivered to me, but for some reasons that never happened. I applied several times without any positive result and when I contacted support they apologized and asked me to apply again. But after applying for several times without seeing my debit card I had to opt for the paid delivery that usually cost about $15.

I think this glitch was as a result of my country’s inefficiency in postal delivery, so I was not surprised that the card never arrived. ‘

All I will say to you is to go for Payoneer if you are experiencing any problem in getting your hard earned money from your companies. This company will surely ease off some of the frustration I can assure you. It doesn’t matter where you are from, Africa, Asian, Europe, North or South America, Payoneer reaches the unreachable in terms of payments.

I hope I have been able to help with the information on this post, but if you have any question, feel free to post it in the comment box below or you might have a live chat with us, we will be glad to help

  1. Payoneer is absolutely no scam, it’s a legit way to get paid, I have a credit card by Payoneer in front of me now.

It kinda weird that I am reading that someone thought that Payoneer is a scam.

I was an Infolinx publisher and they sent me a Payoneer credit card to receive payments.

    Thanks for your update! 🙂

    1. That is right Anis, I am glad that you are confirming my review about Payoneer. As a matter of fact, I posted a blog on Wealthy Affiliate to let the community know that they could use Payoneer to receive payments knowing how difficult and frustrating it can get sometimes to get your payment into your local bank, especially those of us that are not residing in the US. But I was surprised the person commented and was saying people should exercise caution when dealing with Payoneer. He didn’t elaborate what he meant but whatever it is, I believe is just a misunderstanding.

      Thank you for commenting though.

  2. I have had problems with PayPal in the past and was looking for an alternative. This seems to be exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this helpful information. This couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I will definitely be back for more helpful tips. Keep up the great work.

  3. Nnamdi,
Always used PayPal, did not know this option was out there. As most of my current money transfers are in the United States, I still want to look into this. I do not do business with Amazon because of my location, I do have an account with Commission Junction.
I think I will look into Payoneer as it looks like it has a lot of good features that I could use in the future.

    1. That’s right John, I have an account with Commission Junction and Amazon, Payoneer is what I am using to receive payment. You will be given $25 if you register and receive payment through Payoneer.

  4. It’s always good to get a personal experience to validate whether the company is good or not or whether they are a scam. Thank you for revealing the truth!

  5. HI Nnamdi, Thank you for your honest review and revealing all about Payoneer. This program does not at all sound like a scam to me. Although there are a few things that you mentioned that I am not fond of. Just as with our banking systems here in the USA. I have never been fond of paying a maintenance fee for using their services for my money. $29.95 seems a bit steep to me but that just may be because I have never run into the hassle and frustration of dealing with a situation of not getting a payment. I also am not one who has any credit cards that charge a fee as well. I am familiar with paypal and Payza and use them frequently when dealing with the many income streams that I am affiliated with. If I should run into a problem down the line, it will be assuring to me to know that there is a solution with Payoneer and will be sure to utilize their services when needed.

    1. Thank you Suzette, I understand your point concerning the charges Payoneer charge but that is how they make sure that they stay in business and also deliver with security and prompt payments. If I had the opportunity you have in the US, I will not subscribe to Payoneer but we outside the US are experiencing difficulty and frustrations in securing our payments, and Payoneer is making sure that we get our money into our own local banks. So, if they charge that I still don’t think is too much even though some might still argue that it is. But the value I get really surpasses the charges and that is what really matters.

Moreover, if you register and receive payment of $100 you will get $25 as a bonus.
